About me.
My name is Vick Gaza and I am a 3D Creature & Character artist and designer, currently specializing in video game development and production art.
I constantly aim to improve pipelines, enhance workflows and help streamline outsource practices.
While competitive with my art, I always do my best to support all my internal and external team members, bridge communication gaps between departments and share what I know in order to help others grow. I love debate and problem solving, and absolutely welcome being proven wrong.
I love to learn new things and in my free time I push myself out of my comfort zone with various personal projects, dabbling with VFX workflows, studying 2D/3D design and learning to draw.
Most of all I love to learn how to learn.
My passions revolve around break-dancing, photography, reading and traveling with my better half.
Work, Education & Contact
I am currently working for the Creative Assembly on Total War: Warhammer as a Senior Creature/Character Artist for the past 3 years.
Previously I have worked at Guerrilla Games in Amsterdam on Horizon: Zero Dawn as a character artist for 2 years.
I started my career with Sony London Studios on Playstation VR: Worlds as an in-house contractor working on various assets for 1 year after graduation.
I was born in 1988 and raised in post-communist Romania where I was lucky enough to be able to pursue career aspirations and passions that were otherwise impossible behind the soviet Iron Curtain.
While living in Romania, I underwent William Shakespeare High - a bilingual English speaking high school.
I then graduated Business School with a BSc in Management at West University Timisoara, followed by a MA in Games Art and Design at University of Hertforshire , UK.
I am always open for new challenges and interesting opportunities that involve high art ownership and big responsibility, remote or in-house, regardless of location.
